GRASTEK

Attention Grass Allergy Patients

Do you or a friend have significant allergy to grass? Do you sneeze, have a runny nose, itchy eyes, and nasal congestion that occurs mainly in March, April and May?

If so, there is a new treatment option that does not involve allergy injections. This is a tablet that is placed under the tongue daily from 3 months before and 3 months during grass pollen season. It works much like the traditional allergy injection but can be taken at home. The manufacturer is currently offering this treatment at a cost as low as $25/month.

The treatment is only for grass and does nothing for tree, weeds, pets or other allergens. It has been in Europe for a number of years and was approved last year in the United States. Our office was involved in some of the patient trials. The main side effect was itching of the mouth.

If you or someone you know is interested in this treatment, please contact our office as soon as possible as it should be started in the month of Feburary.
