ORAL IMMUNOTHERAPY (OIT)
Oral immunotherapy (OIT) may be a treatment option for select patients. OIT involves gradually introducing increasing amounts of the allergen under strict medical supervision. The goal is to desensitize the immune system to the allergen, allowing for increased tolerance. It’s important to note that OIT is not a cure and requires ongoing management.
