Dr. Bradley Chipps traveled recently to Haiti with The Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation to visit the Healthcare Programs of Hope for Haiti, a Naples, FL-based organization working in southern Haiti to create healthy sustainable communities with the mission to improve the quality of life for the Haitian people, particularly children, through education, nutrition, and healthcare. On his first day, Dr. Chipps presented a comprehensive asthma training for Hope for Haiti’s Haitian medical team at its Infirmary St. Etienne located in Les Cayes, Haiti. Dr. Chipps then treated over 20 acute asthma & COPD patients on day two. After thorough discussions with Dr. Steeve Victor, Hope for Haiti’s Healthcare Director, Dr. Chipps recommended a new protocol for managing asthma cases from Hope for Haiti’s Infirmary and has offered to assist in obtaining the appropriate diagnostic equipment and medications needed for effective treatment. Hope for Haiti is thrilled to have the expertise of Dr. Chipps available to the organization to improve the treatment of such a pervasive chronic illness in Haiti. Hope for Haiti is looking forward to further training opportunities with Dr. Chipps and the team.
